RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY
Cancellation after the order is placed
Any cancellation requests after the order is place and if the products are not shipped out, attracts 2.5% transaction fee, and this fee will be applied on the total amount paid by you while processing the refund.

Cancellation if the goods are in transit
We try out best to manufacture your order within promised deadline and ship them out to you as soon as we can.
If your order status is shipped or good are in transit you will be charged 15% of the order value for cancelling the order. Your order could be delayed by courier aggregator(third party service provider) due to reasons such as fake delivery attempts, consignee not contactable, incorrect pin code etc. In such a case we hold no liability and 15% will still be charged. We request you to place your orders with correct delivery information and very well in advance to avoid the last minute rush.

Cancellation after the good are delivered
Our refund policy lasts 3 days after the date of delivery of your order. If 3 days have gone by from the date of receipt of your order, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund.
Customised Products
No return, credit note or exchange will be offered on customised products. Customised products are made to suit a specific requirement and we won't be able to exercise any return/exchange in such cases. Please review your design carefully before making your purchase.

You can claim a refund in the following ways:
WITHIN INDIA
- Instant refund - You can raise a refund request within 3 days of the receipt of your order. You will be charged a restocking fee of 20% of the order value. The remaining balance will be credited to your credit card/ debit card /bank account used at the time of making the payment when the order was placed. Refund is processed once the product/s are duly inspected.
- Store Credit - You can claim for store credit (100% product value) which comes with a validity of 6 months and can be utilized for future purchase. No re-stocking or logistic fee apply in such a scenario. Store credit is subject to inspection result of the product.
OUTSIDE INDIA:
- No exchange and no refund. Goods once sold/dispatched will not be taken back, exchanged or replaced.
Return T & C's within India :
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back without intimation to us.

- Any item not in its original condition is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 3 days after delivery.
Refunds within India (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 10-15 Working days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, items during sale or offer/s and discount/s cannot be refunded.
Exchanges on unused products (if applicable)
Request for an exchange must be placed within 3 days of delivery. Product must be in unused condition.
Exchanges on defective products for used products
(covered under warranty)
You may request for exchange of defective parts and products. No refund will be applied on defective products after the expiration of warranty period. Our products carry a warranty of 1 year on wiring and 1 month on coating defects.
Products needs to be sent to our workshop via courier by you. Send us an email at clientrelations@theblacksteel.com. We will notify you of the exchange process.
Damaged products, part/s, lampshades etc
In case of receipt of damaged part/s please notify us within 3 days of delivery of the order to avail free of cost repair or replacement of the part/s. After 3 days of delivery, part/s will be repaired or replaced on chargeable basis.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
Shipping charges on return
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Reverse shipping costs are non-refundable should you wish to cancel the order. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Shipping policy varies from product to product. We usually ship the product within 0-30 working days after receiving the order.

If your orders are not shipped from our warehouse you may opt to cancel the order by sending an email or through a message. 4% of the order value will be charged against online bank transaction fee and instant refund will be processed.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over INR 500, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. However, you can also choose our trusted courier partner for shipping the item to us.
